COHMAS is granted for collaboration with UC-Berkeley
22 January, 2011
“Robust Solutions for Virtual Testing: simulation and identification of non-linear behaviors" will be a collaborative project with Professor Tamer El-Sayed at KAUST and the Mechanical Engineering department at UC-Berkeley. The project will cover
the following three important research areas;
- Multi-scale simulation to better understand the relations between the microstructure and the macroscopic behavior.
- Low-scale in-situ experiments to access material quantities required feed advanced models.
- Engineering of material formulations to obtain by design tailored material properties.
